The good news is that the 'gospel' really is GOOD NEWS,
and there is no bad news!

• The word 'gospel' ('evangel' from the Greek) is a compound word ('eu' - good, and 'angelion' - message).
   
• God loves you unconditionally.  He loved you before he created the world (Ephesians 1:3-14).  It was God who acted on your behalf to reconcile you to Himself while you were still His enemy (Romans 5:8-11).
   
• That means that even though you are unable to live by God's law, God makes you right with Him through the death of His Son, Jesus Christ (Romans 8:1-4).
   
• You can have peace with God right now (Romans 5:1).
   
• You can have an abundant, overflowing life right now (John 10:10).
   
• You can know God's forgiveness right now (Ephesians 1:7-8).

AND ALL OF THIS IS BECAUSE OF JESUS' DEATH AND RESURRECTION.
IT IS FINISHED (John 19:30)!

JESUS PAID IT ALL!
